<p>I got offered a position as a marketer and i’d like more straight up insight. You obviously market stuff but i need specifics. Pros Cons? Thanx

If its selling the negative side is
1. You have to deal with varied characters both in terms of your juniors and clients
2. Continuous stress coz sales and marketing are functions where performance needs to be shown throughout the year compared to finance function where pressure comes in only in the end of financial period
3. Might have to work late

Positive side

1. If you are a marketer who has to be mobile to meet customer you have the option of experiencing different cultures, food etc….

2. Good pay esp. when you are paid sales commissions

3. You will be able to build a good network

End of the day make sure your personality and character matches your job…. so you will succeed against all odds… Talk to some marketers in the company you have been offered the job (informally) to make sure
